We are seeking to appoint additional Examination Invigilators to support the supervision and administration of internal and external GCSE and A Level examinations. Work is offered according to the examination timetable and school requirements. The successful candidates will be able to establish a positive and authoritative presence with students, work effectively as part of the existing invigilation team, and carry out their duties under the direction of the school's Examination and Data Officer. Invigilators must be able to commit to an agreed timetable during the November, December, February, April. May and June examination periods and attend mandatory training events throughout the year. Availability during these examination periods is an essential requirement of the role. The successful candidates will possess excellent organisational and communication skills and be able to maintain a calm, orderly and secure examination environment while ensuring examinations are conducted in accordance with JCQ regulations, awarding body requirements and school procedures. The role includes a range of administrative duties before, during and after examinations, together with responsibility for maintaining the integrity and security of the examination process. Previous invigilation experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. If you are unsure what The King’s School is like but are considering applying, please contact the school for an informal telephone conversation to find out more. Whilst a closing date for applications has been set, we reserve the right to interview and appoint a suitable candidate prior. This being the case, we would encourage early applications for the post.
Please note that feedback will only be provided to candidates whose applications progress to the interview stage.
