About the role

This role is for 37 hours per week, term time only. We are seeking to appoint an Admin Assistant at Newman School, based in Rotherham. This is an exciting opportunity to join the school at an important time in its development, following a period of change and its recent move into a multi-academy trust. As part of a newly establishing office team, you will support the smooth running of a busy school office by carrying out a range of day-to-day administrative tasks, helping to coordinate office duties and providing a welcoming and efficient reception service. Working under the direction of the newly appointed Office Manager, and alongside the Admin Officer and wider school team, you will be organised, approachable and willing to support wherever needed. You will bring a positive, practical approach to routine administration and will be comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change quickly. You will: Have a can do attitude and a willingness to support a busy school office. Be confident carrying out routine administrative tasks accurately and efficiently. Provide a professional, friendly and welcoming reception service for pupils, staff, parents and visitors. Support the coordination of day-to-day office duties, including messages, records, filing, emails and general enquiries. Work well with others and contribute positively to a newly developing team. The school is a split site (Dinnington and Whiston), and although the role will be based primarily at one site, there is the expectation the role may work between the sites when needed.
