About the role

Birch Hill Primary School is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant and inclusive school community. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and ready to take on a more active role in the classroom. As a HLTA, you will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, lead small group interventions, and provide class cover when required. You’ll be a key part of our team, helping to ensure every child reaches their full potential in a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment, This position is a fixed term contract for one academic year. The successful candidate will be:

experience in supporting teaching and learning in a primary school setting confident in delivering lessons and managing a classroom in a teacher's absence passionate about supporting children in all abilities and backgrounds committed to promoting inclusion, equality and safeguarding able to consistently encourage positive behaviour and emotional well-being plans and delivers engaging learning activities

About Birch Hill Primary School We are a two-form entry community school serving the Birch Hill and Hanworth districts of Bracknell Forest. In addition to the main school, we offer a nursery and a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) catering for children with ASD and MLD. We can accommodate 420 children, plus 26 spaces in our nursery, which offers flexible 30 hours a week. The school is organised into two Key Stages - EYFS/ KS1 and KS2. Our motto is: Learn, Believe, Achieve Together. We set high standards of work and achieve this through providing a curriculum that also develops children's belief that they can achieve their highest aspiration, while working closely with parents and the whole community.
