About the role

Phoenix Park Academy and Sevenhills Academy are alternative provision academies in North East Lincolnshire and proud members of Wellspring Academy Trust. Wellspring is an established and growing Multi-Academy Trust with a difference. We operate Primary, Secondary, Special and Alternative Academies across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the Humber. We are committed to making a difference to the lives and life chances of the young people and the communities we serve. As the Trust continues to grow our roles offer pathways for ambitious and dynamic individuals who are determined to make a difference. We value our people; collegial working at all levels is central to our culture. High quality induction training and ongoing professional development support are guaranteed. There will be a broad range of opportunities for you to realise your professional vision and ambitions within the Trust. We are seeking to appoint a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our Care Team, placing Dr Bruce Perry’s Regulate, Relate, Repair framework at the heart of our daily practice. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our learners through each stage of emotional connection and growth: Regulate: Provide proactive, calm co-regulation to help students feel safe, grounded, and ready to learn, both in times of distress and throughout the school day.

Relate: Build genuine, trusting relationships that foster a strong sense of belonging, safety, and mutual respect.

Repair: Support students to reflect, restore relationships, and build resilience when emotional or behavioural setbacks occur, enabling them to re-engage with both their academic curriculum and SEMH development.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs across Key Stage 2, 3, and/or 4, alongside a deep commitment to trauma-informed, relational approaches to learning. Please note, this role will require the successful candidate to work across Phoenix Park Academy & Sevenhills Academy. The Executive Leadership team are happy to be contacted for any further information and visits to our sites are welcome. We are committed to equal opportunities and to promoting diversity. We want our people to reflect the diversity of our communities, and we welcome applications from people from all backgrounds, especially from under-represented groups, including those from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities. If you are currently living overseas or have lived / worked overseas in the last five years please be aware that you will be required to provide an overseas criminal records check from the country/countries you have resided in, if you are the preferred candidate for the post.
