About the role

PolyMAT is a small but ambitious Multi-Academy Trust with a unique family feel. Our vision is Success for Everyone, and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in helping us make this vision a reality.

We currently have three schools within our Trust:

Bannockburn Primary School - a large, thriving primary school that joined the Trust in November 2023.

Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys - a long-established and successful boys’ school.

Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls - opened in 2019 and has quickly become a beacon for success and progress.

We also have a flourishing co-educational Sixth Form. Across our Trust, we pride ourselves on a culture of high standards, underpinned by our core values of Care and Unity. We provide a rewarding environment where students and staff feel valued, supported, and part of a larger family. As part of our Trust, Bannockburn Primary School is a large, vibrant and exciting setting serving a diverse community. We have two school sites which operate as one school. Our successful school in Plumstead is looking to recruit an enthusiastic person with high expectations as a Learning Mentor working 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday for 39 weeks of the year (term time). This is a good development opportunity for someone looking to become a learning mentor or someone already working as a learning mentor and looking for a new challenge.

Are positive role models for staff, pupils and parents Have the highest expectations of themselves and the children Are committed to continuous professional development Work well as part of a team Are qualified as a Learning Mentor or have the experience to enable them to train for this role
