About the role

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant who brings enthusiasm, care and a commitment to inclusion, working alongside teachers to remove barriers to learning and support pupils’ progress, wellbeing and participation. Based in our Ipswich secondary school, this is an opportunity to become part of a welcoming community and the wider Active Learning Trust, where collaboration, continuous improvement and investment in people help create the conditions for both staff and pupils to grow and succeed. Job Title: Learning Support Assistant Contract Type: Permanent, Part-time Working Pattern: 12.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, Thursday & Friday 08:30am-15:15pm (including a 30-minute unpaid break) Summary of Key Responsibilities Support individuals and small groups to access learning, develop independence and engage fully in lessons. Assist teachers with classroom organisation, learning resources and maintaining a positive learning environment. Promote positive behaviour, inclusion and pupil wellbeing, reporting concerns appropriately. Support pupils during assessments, educational visits and supervisory duties as required. Contribute to pupil records, assessment activities and effective communication with staff and families. Why Join Our Trust?
