Coombe Academy of Performing Arts ( CAPA ) Start date: As soon as possible We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Youth Theatre Assistant to join our creative team at our Saturday performing Arts academy (CAPA). The suitable candidate will join our team on Saturdays teaching students from 9-19 years, from 9:00am-4:00pm. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality theatre sessions and rehearsals, working closely with young performers to develop their skills, confidence and creativity. The role will involve supporting workshop activities, rehearsals and productions, helping to create a positive, inclusive and professionally focused environment for young people. We are looking for someone who is reliable, collaborative and confident working with children and young people, with a genuine passion for theatre and the performing arts. If you are keen to contribute to an ambitious youth theatre programme and help young people develop both on and off stage, we would love to hear from you. www.coombeacademyofperformingarts.com The right person must have; Enhanced DBS, or be willing to get one Passion and energy for performance work Enjoy working with children aged 9-19 A base in or around Kingston-Upon-Thames The assistant will be responsible for: Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging theatre workshops and rehearsals throughout the term. Working closely with the Director to support the effective delivery of sessions and activities. Supporting young performers throughout workshops and rehearsals, encouraging participation, confidence and positive engagement. Leading and participating in group games, warm-ups, creative exercises and ensemble activities as required. Maintaining accurate attendance records for each session. Assisting with the preparation and set-up of the rehearsal space and ensuring it is left organised and ready for future sessions. Supporting the smooth running of performances, productions and other activities as required.
