About the role

The team at Glasshoughton Infant Academy are looking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor to support pupils aged 3-7, Monday through to Friday. The role is crucial in supporting lunchtime experiences through encouraging social skills for pupils and providing pastoral care and guidance.

The role will:

Supervise pupils during lunch time periods ensuring a safe environment at all times Support pupils in the dining hall and help with basic skills (e.g. using a knife and fork, opening food packaging) Encourage children to join in social games and develop key social skills Provide pastoral care guidance and support and encourage positive attitudes towards others and promote self-discipline, good behaviour, manners and mutual respect. Ensure all misbehaviour is reported using the Academy procedure and no misbehaviour goes unchallenged. Report any potential safeguarding issues through to the Designated Senior Leader without delay. Support the Academy in ensuring the safety and welfare of all pupils. Have access to Learning and Development, specifically a Level 2 Health & Hygiene course
