KEY TASKS & DAILY OPERATIONS • Mastery-Led Mathematics Instruction: Plan, resource, and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons across all attainment pathways, embedding consistent retrieval practice to cement foundational numeracy, geometric principles, and algebraic fluency. • Closing Attainment Gaps: Identify and target mathematical misconceptions, deploying structured scaffolding, concrete-pictorial-abstract visual models, and targeted literacy strategies to accelerate the progress of all pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEND). • Rigorous Examination Preparation: Guide Year 11 cohorts systematically through the demands of terminal Foundation and Higher tier GCSE Mathematics papers, teaching explicit exam techniques, multistep problem-solving, and efficient non-calculator methods. • Data-Driven Interventions: Meticulously analyse formative assessment data and mock exam scripts to pinpoint specific weaknesses, deploying immediate, targeted arithmetic and reasoning interventions to maximize grade-boundary retention. • Community Pastoral Care: Fulfill full form tutor responsibilities within an established year group structure, managing daily registration, delivering pastoral curriculum units, and maintaining proactive, supportive communication with families.
