Nursery Assistant This is a part time, fixed-term, term time only role. Starting date: As soon as possible 9.5 hours per week (All day Tuesday 8.45am-3.15pm and Friday 11.45am-3.15pm) Grade 3 SCP 5-6 FTE £25,584 - £25,989 (subject to pay body review) (Actual Annual Salary from £5,493-£5,580) (subject to pay review) Saint Sebastian’s Church of England Primary School are looking for a fun, energetic and committed team member to join our staffing team. You will be involved in supporting the learning and development of children in our Nursery. Following our recent successful Ofsted and SIAMS inspections, there has never been a more exciting time to join our thriving and supportive school community!

To provide support to Nursery pupils in line with the National Curriculum, codes of practice and school policies and procedures.
Establishing positive relationships with pupils
Supporting pupils with activities which support literacy and numeracy skills
Promoting positive behaviour and helping keep pupils on track
Assisting with displaying and presenting pupils’ work
Assisting with taking pupils on educational visits
Able to build a positive rapport and exercise patience and consistency
Kind, caring and compassionate
Experience with, or a love of, working with young people
An awareness of commitment to equality
Basic understanding of health and safety
Understanding and implementing child protection procedures
