Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our supportive and talented SEND team. The temporary role is to work with a child with a visual impairment. Watermore is a modern new building that opened in 2020 offering a fantastic learning environment for our pupils. The classrooms are designed to enable the two classes in each year group to have the flexibility to work either as separate classes or together as a larger unit. Our hard-working team has the aim of providing an exceptional education for all of our learners. Therefore, we are looking to appoint creative and highly motivated teachers to join us. We can offer you: A positive ethos underpinned by shared values A supportive, dedicated and forward-looking team Enthusiastic, eager children who enjoy their learning Supportive parents and governing body A well-resourced, attractive learning environment A high level of support from a strong team of teachers and experienced Inclusion Manager The opportunity to be creative and innovative We are seeking to appoint teaching assistant who has: A creative approach to inspiring pupils and developing their own practice High expectations of what children with SEND can achieve Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues Flexibility and openness to new ideas A willingness to participate fully in the life of the school Energy, enthusiasm and resilience The personal skills and confidence to add to our friendly team and form positive relationships with parents and other members of our school community We are looking for a candidate who is a qualified teaching assistant / have relevant qualifications in the education sector. You must have grade c / 4 or higher in maths and English and demonstrate through your application how you could fulfil the job description. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety and welfare of children and young people. All staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment and all appointments will be subject to appropriate vetting, including an enhanced DBS disclosure check.
