About the role

Hurstmere School is seeking to appoint a highly effective SEN Teaching Assistant, to start with immediate effect. The successful candidate will support students with SEN and help them reach their full potential. The role involves providing tailored support, encouraging independence, and working closely with teachers and support staff in an inclusive learning environment. This is a part time, fixed term role, Term Time Only, paid on the Bexley NJC pay scale point 5.1 - 5.4 ( FTE £29,436- £29,856 - actual salary calculated on a pro rata basis which equates to £20,557.98 - £20,851.31 per annum ). This position is fixed term until 27th August 2027, due to school SEN funding. The working pattern will consist of 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:30-15:00, with a 30-minute unpaid break each day.
