Work with staff to remove barriers to learning and promote positive outcomes for all pupils.

Inclusion and Vulnerable Pupils

Promote high-quality inclusive practice across the school.

Support teachers in adapting learning to meet the needs of all pupils.

Monitor the progress and achievement of vulnerable groups.

Work closely with families to ensure children receive the support they need.

Support the school's commitment to ensuring all children can access a broad, balanced and enriching curriculum.

Pupil Premium

Work alongside the Headteacher to support the effective use of Pupil Premium funding.

Monitor the progress and achievement of disadvantaged pupils, particularly those who are also identified as having SEND.

Help identify barriers to learning and contribute to strategies that improve outcomes for disadvantaged children.

Support the evaluation of interventions and provision to ensure funding has maximum impact.

Contribute to reporting, monitoring and accountability processes relating to disadvantaged pupils.

Working with Staff

Provide advice, guidance and support to teachers and teaching assistants.

Promote high-quality adaptive teaching and inclusive classroom practice.

Support staff in implementing recommendations from external professionals.

Provide training and updates where appropriate.

Partnership with Parents and Carers

Build positive relationships with parents and carers.

Ensure parents and carers are fully involved in decisions relating to their child's education and support.

Act as a key point of contact for families regarding SEND provision.

Liaison with External Agencies

Work closely with educational psychologists, advisory teachers, speech and language therapists, health professionals and other relevant agencies.

Coordinate referrals and access to specialist support.

Support applications for Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments and additional SEND funding where appropriate.

Administration and Compliance

Maintain accurate SEND records and documentation.

Ensure statutory responsibilities and deadlines are met.

Monitor SEND resources and contribute to decisions regarding SEND-related expenditure.
