About the role

We are seeking an inspirational Psychology and Child Development Teacher who has a clear understanding of how individuals absorb information and is dedicated to combining theoretical and practical learning, furthering our students in their lifelong journey of curiosity and love of knowledge. We can offer you the opportunity to deliver a dynamic curriculum within our ambitious Social Science department that achieves exceptional outcomes from all year groups. Whatever your career stage, you will be supported to develop well-structured learning programmes and to enhance your teaching tool kit, so that our students are able to excel As a standalone academy, we believe in our teachers being able to do the role they are employed to do, which is to deliver engaging lessons to our students. We therefore have an easy and structured behaviour system for our students and you to follow in lessons. After this, we have dedicated teams who intervene and leave you to continue with the job you love doing! Our Deputy Headteacher would be delighted to take you on a tour of the school and give you the opportunity to meet the department and answer any questions you may have. As Teacher of Psychology & Child Development , you will be welcomed into a team of professionals to: Progress the Social Science department to even greater successes Plan and deliver high quality and engaging lessons that will challenge and inspire our students Encourage students to have high expectations of themselves and their behaviour Engage students in study at A-Level & Key Stage 4 Be a positive role model and supportive mentor to students, making a lasting impact on their lives
