The Bridge Academy is looking for an enthusiastic, committed and nurturing Teacher to join our team and make a real difference to the lives of young people who require additional support to thrive in education. We are seeking a teacher to work with Key Stage 3 students who benefit from a nurturing, individualised approach and a curriculum tailored to their needs. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who can look beyond traditional classroom approaches and adapt learning to help every young person experience success, build confidence and develop a positive attitude towards learning. The successful candidate will have the experience, creativity and flexibility to teach secondary-aged pupils through a primary-style curriculum, adapting lessons and approaches to meet individual needs and starting points. You will be skilled at building positive relationships with young people, understanding barriers to learning and creating a calm, supportive environment where pupils feel safe, valued and able to achieve. We are looking for someone who Is an enthusiastic and committed teacher with a genuine desire to make a difference to young people’s lives. Can deliver an engaging and appropriately differentiated curriculum to KS3 students working at a range of levels. Has the flexibility and creativity to adapt a primary curriculum approach for secondary-aged learners. Builds strong, trusting relationships with pupils and understands the importance of consistency, boundaries and nurture. Can identify individual barriers to learning and use appropriate strategies to support progress, confidence and engagement. Is committed to inclusion and believes that every young person should have the opportunity to succeed. Works collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals to provide holistic support for pupils. Primary QTS would be desirable, as would experience of working in SEND settings, Alternative Provision or a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU).
