About the role

The Arthur Terry School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Food Technology to join our successful and supportive Design & Technology team. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher, or an ECT looking to develop their career, to join a school where students are encouraged to be creative, develop practical skills and achieve their full potential. About the role As a Teacher of Food Technology, you will: Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Food Technology lessons across the relevant age and ability range. Inspire students to develop their creativity, practical skills and understanding of food, nutrition and healthy lifestyles. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students are encouraged to participate and succeed. Assess and monitor student progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement. Contribute to the development of the Food Technology curriculum and wider Design & Technology provision. Support the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and a commitment to student wellbeing. About you We are looking for someone who: Is passionate about Food Technology and committed to achieving excellent outcomes for students. Has a strong knowledge of the subject and can translate this into engaging and purposeful learning. Has high expectations of all students and is committed to supporting their individual needs. Is an effective classroom practitioner who can create a positive and well-managed learning environment. Is reflective, enthusiastic and keen to contribute to the wider work of the department and school. Works collaboratively with colleagues and is committed to their own professional development.
