About this Role:

The Subject Lead Business role at King Alfreds plays a vital role in driving the strategic direction, quality, and impact of their subject area, providing clear leadership that inspires excellence in teaching, learning, and curriculum development. The role exists to cultivate a strong, collaborative team culture; ensure a coherent, engaging, and well sequenced curriculum; and uphold the highest standards of assessment, organisation, and professional practice. By combining thoughtful self-evaluation, effective data-driven action planning, and supportive line management, the Subject Lead ensures continual improvement and a shared commitment to student success. As a key member of the Academy’s wider leadership structure, the postholder also contributes to whole school priorities, fosters positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and external partners, and models the professionalism and high expectations that underpin King Alfred’s Academy’s vision and values.
