About the role

Many thanks for your interest in the Teaching Assistant position. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive school community. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and committed to enabling every student to reach their full potential. Working closely with the SENDCo, teaching staff and wider school team, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning, promoting student progress and wellbeing, and contributing to a positive and engaging school environment. The role requires a proactive, flexible and collaborative approach, along with a strong commitment to safeguarding and upholding the school’s ethos and values. An exciting opportunity has arisen at Littleover Community School for an exceptional Teaching Assistant to join our experienced and highly motivated team. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to the post of Teaching Assistant, supporting students with varying educational needs. The successful candidate will be caring and patient and able to cater for the individual needs of the students, including social, emotional, communication, language and learning support and be capable of working in partnership with teachers and parents.

position requires someone who:

Is caring and patient and able to cater for the individual needs of the students - social, emotional, communication, language and learning support. Can support teachers in class with high quality teaching. Is capable of working in partnership with teachers and parents. Has high expectations of students’ attainment and behaviour. Is hard-working, flexible and a good team player. Preferably has some experience of working with students with Special Educational Needs .
