About the role

Deanwood Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience working with children with additional needs, particularly those with limited speech or communication difficulties, as well as experience delivering targeted academic interventions in phonics and mathematics. You will be committed to supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning, develop their skills and achieve their full potential. This is a fixed-term, term-time-only position until 21 July 2027, as the role is child-linked. The position is paid on NJC pay scale D2 point 4-11 ( FTE £26,016 - £29,07 - actual salary calculated on a pro rata basis which equates to £17,932 - £20,037 per annum ). The post is for 30.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:30am-3:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break, and Friday 8:30am-1:00pm. What can we offer you?
