William Austin Junior School is a large four/five-form entry school, rated good by OFSTED, with well-behaved children who are eager to learn and succeed. About the job We require a Teaching Assistant who can support our pupils in all aspects of teaching and learning both in and out of the classroom. This is a Fixed Term position linked to supporting a pupil with an EHCP in Year 3 from September 2026 to July 2030 or until the child leaves. The role is 30.25 hours per week working Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:45am to 3:30pm (1hour lunch) and Tuesday 8:45am to 5:00pm (1 hour for lunch), term-time only plus 5 training days.

The successful candidates will:

hold a relevant qualification at NVQ Level 2 or above have some experience of working with children with a range of special educational needs have a caring nature be able to communicate effectively with children and adults be able to work as part of a team
