The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Inclusion Faculty and play a key role in supporting students to achieve their full potential. Working closely with teachers, the SENCo and other professionals, you will provide effective classroom support, deliver targeted interventions and help create an inclusive learning environment where all students can flourish academically, socially and emotionally. The role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of learners, including those with special educational needs, disabilities and additional learning barriers. As a valued member of our school community, you will support learning across the curriculum, contribute to monitoring student progress and promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and independence. You will also have opportunities to develop your skills through professional development and play an active part in wider school life, including enrichment activities, educational visits and intervention programmes. About You You will have experience of working with or caring for children and be passionate about helping young people succeed. We are looking for someone who can build positive relationships with students and colleagues, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team. A good standard of English, numeracy and IT skills is essential, together with the ability to support learning across a range of subjects and adapt to the differing needs of students. The ideal candidate will be patient, flexible and committed to inclusion, with an understanding of how to support students' learning, development and wellbeing. Experience of supporting pupils with SEMH needs would be advantageous, as would knowledge of EAL, speech and language support or outdoor learning, although a willingness to develop in these areas is equally important.
