Teaching Assistant

Would you like to join our dedicated team and help us raise standards even further? We are looking to recruit a teaching assistant to work with our delightful children, starting as soon as possible on a fixed term contract until 31st August 2027. This role will also include supporting a small number of children with special educational needs, often on a 1:1 basis. The successful candidates will:

Have experience of working with primary aged children including those with SEN, preferably in a school environment. They will show enthusiasm for learning, initiative and have an understanding of the importance of supporting social and emotional development in children in order to maximise the achievements and well-being of our pupils. Have a creative outlook on supporting children to be successful and achieve all that they can. High levels of organisation to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrate a commitment to inclusion and success of all children Have high expectations for all children Promote the vision and values of The Abbey Primary School

The position will be for 39 weeks per year (term time) and pay will be on a pro-rota basis. This post also includes a lunchtime supervisor role for 1 hour each day. This is paid on on Grade C level 3. This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks.
