Key Responsibilities Support pupils' learning across the curriculum through classroom, group and one-to-one work. Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities. Help pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours. Support the preparation of classroom resources and learning environments. Work with teachers to monitor pupil progress and celebrate achievement. Provide additional support for pupils with varying educational and emotional needs. Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, inclusive school environment. Support pupils during break times, educational visits and wider school activities. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external professionals where appropriate. Contribute to the wider life of the academy and uphold Astrea Academy Trust values. What We're Looking For GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent). Experience of working with children in an educational or childcare setting. A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their potential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to build positive and supportive relationships with pupils. Excellent teamwork and organisational skills. Patience, empathy and a flexible approach to meeting pupils' needs. Confidence in supporting learning and promoting positive behaviour. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. A desire to continually develop professionally and contribute positively to school life. Why Join Us?
