Job description

The position will require someone who is able to manage behaviour effectively and ensure that pupils are supported pastorally within a positive and inclusive environment, actively contribute to planning and promote progress, someone who is flexible and adaptable to the demands of the teaching assistant role and has good organisation and communications skills. Candidates must be able to work as part of a team and have excellent written and verbal skills. The successful candidate will be committed to the values and ethos of our Catholic school and will join our team of dedicated, hardworking Teaching Assistants who all strive for high standards for all of our pupils. This is a temporary Teaching Assistant post until the return of the substantive post holder. St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School is part of Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust which is one of four Trusts in the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle. The Trust includes five Secondary and twenty-six Primary Schools across South Tyneside, Sunderland and East Durham. Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust safeguards and protects its students and staff by being committed to respond in accordance with South Tyneside Child Protection Procedures.
