About the role

The Governing Body of Halfway Nursery Infant School is looking to appoint a confident, flexible and energetic Teaching Assistant to join our enthusiastic and talented team as soon as possible. The role will be to work predominantly within EYFS, as well as support some hours in our wraparound provision (Breakfast club on a Monday 7:30am - 8:30am and after-school club on a Monday until 6pm). These hours will be paid in addition to the full-time contract. Please indicate on your application form your availability for these hours. Initially this role is for the rest of this academic year. Pupil numbers and budget depending it could be extended and made permanent. The successful applicant will be a highly motivated professional, dedicated to providing a high level of teaching support, working in partnership with classroom teachers, running specific interventions when appropriate and supporting children 1:1 when needed. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of working within the EYFS and KS1. Halfway Nursery Infant School is located at the heart of our community in the south of Sheffield. Able to develop positive and productive relationships with all children, parents and staff

Knowledgeable and skilled in supporting all children to access their learning in the classroom across the EYFS and KS1

Able to manage and deliver structured intervention packages

An active and supportive member of the class and school team

A positive role-model for our children

Able to be flexible, responsive and proactive to change

Willing to contribute to school life outside of the classroom.
