About the role

Hours: 31.25 hours per week - Monday to Friday (term time only) Working hours: 8:45am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31/08/2028 We are a friendly and collaborative school seeking a patient, adaptable and committed Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide one-to-one support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs on a fixed-term basis for two years Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one support for a pupil with identified Special Educational Needs. Support the pupil's academic, social and emotional development. Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals to implement support strategies. Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning. Adapt activities and resources to meet the pupil's individual needs. Work flexibly and make timely adaptations to individualised plans in response to the pupil's changing needs, ensuring appropriate support and progress. Monitor progress and maintain accurate records as required. The successful candidate will have Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs. A calm, patient and resilient approach. The ability to build positive relationships and maintain professional boundaries. Experience of supporting children with social, emotional and behavioural needs. Strong communication and teamwork skills. The confidence to respond effectively to challenging situations and adapt their approach to meet individual needs. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
