About the role

This working hours for this role are expected to be 32.42 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. The start date for this role is 25 January 2027. We are seeking a caring, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils within our Resource Base, helping them to access learning, develop independence and achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other professionals to deliver a differentiated curriculum, provide targeted support, and contribute to individual provision plans for children with a range of additional needs, including SEND, ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, attachment needs and physical disabilities. You will build positive relationships with pupils, promote self-esteem and inclusion, and support children both in and beyond the classroom environment. The role may include providing personal care, implementing therapy programmes and supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural development. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can work effectively as part of a collaborative team while also using their own initiative. Experience of working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is desirable, alongside a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
