Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated, friendly team for 30 hours a week (term-time only on a fixed term contract until 31/8/2027). This is an exciting opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and is committed to making a positive difference in their educational journey. The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils both in and out of the classroom. You will help create a nurturing and engaging learning environment where children feel confident, happy, and motivated to succeed. Key responsibilities include: Supporting teaching and learning activities across the school. Working with individual pupils and small groups to enhance learning and development. Helping children to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals. Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting children's emotional wellbeing. Assisting with the preparation of classroom resources and learning activities. Promoting the school's Christian values and inclusive ethos. Contributing positively to the life of our small school community. About You We are looking for someone who: Is passionate about supporting children and helping them thrive. Enjoys building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families. Has a caring, patient, and nurturing approach. Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Is flexible, enthusiastic, and able to work as part of a team. Has high expectations for all children and believes every child can succeed. Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting would be desirable, but most importantly, we are looking for someone with enthusiasm, kindness, and a genuine desire to support children's learning and development.
