Health Assistant - Waltham Toll Bar Academy PART TIME 15 hours per week, Permanent (Hours negotiable) LGAT 9 £29,418.00 pro rata. Actual Salary: £9,943.28 Term time (190 days per year) Closing Date: 2 October 2026 Working Hours; Hours and days to be negotiated (2-3 days) We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate Health Assistant to join our academy Provides First Aid care within the Academy Provides first aid in emergencies and contacts emergency services when necessary Maintains student’s Academy medical records through regular liaison with parents, Health Authorities and general practitioners Arranges routine medical checks Maintains medical stock and orders appropriate supplies Provides general medical advice on general hygiene matters Is fully conversant with current information on sexually transmitted infections and social drugs to make immediate referrals to the appropriate Vice Principal. Prepares routine correspondence Administrates dressings where needed Refers student’s health problems to parents and other interrelated agencies where needed Offers basic hygiene solutions to problematic students Supervises student’s self-administration of medication Reports to the responsible Vice Principal on matters relating to fighting bullying, students’ safety and Child Protection.
