Job description

The Deputy Headteacher will work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to lead school improvement, promote high-quality teaching and learning, and ensure that Manor Park remains a place where every pupil feels valued, included and able to thrive. A central aspect of the role will be strategic leadership of: SEND provision and inclusive practice; vulnerable groups, including Pupil Premium pupils, Looked After and Previously Looked After Children, pupils with SEMH needs and EAL learners; the effective use of funding, interventions, data and targeted support to improve outcomes; staff development, coaching and accountability; positive relationships with parents, carers, governors, the Trust and external agencies. The successful candidate will also deputise for the Headteacher when required and will be confident in translating vision into measurable improvements for pupils, staff and the wider school community. We are looking for someone who will be an ambitious and effective school leader with a strong record of improving outcomes; be passionate about inclusive education and determined that no child is left behind; have a secure understanding of SEND, adaptive teaching, vulnerable groups and the graduated approach; inspire, challenge and support colleagues through clear leadership, coaching and collaboration; use data intelligently to evaluate provision and identify priorities for improvement; build trusting, positive relationships with children, families, staff, governors and external partners; uphold high expectations, professional integrity and an unwavering commitment to safeguarding; embody Manor Park’s values and bring energy, warmth, resilience and a sense of humour to the role.
