About the role

We are a music specialist school which means:

10% of our students gain entrance to the school through a music aptitude test

All year 7 students are offered a free instrument and heavily discounted lessons

All year 7 and 8 students sing in a weekly choir

Key Stage 3 students receive 2 weekly 50 minute lessons

A third of our students have instrumental/vocal lessons, 40 of them are on drums and we now have a waiting list.

The Opportunity We are looking for a Classical Guitar Teacher to join our team of Peripatetic teachers from January 2027 This is an exciting opportunity to build our classical guitar teaching at Trinity for the first time. Applicants should hold the equivalent of teaching diploma, Conservatoire/University performance degree qualification or have a proven track record of excellence. This is a self-employed position with approximately 1 hour work per week at a rate of £39 per hour. If the successful candidate was able to teach popular guitar in addition, this could be much higher. The work could expand as student numbers grow.
