Role: Learning Support Assistant Salary: Grade 4 (SCP 5 to SCP 6) £26,427 - £26,847 (FTE Salary) / £19,515 - £20,274 (Actual Salary) Contract type: Permanent, Part time Reporting to: SENDCO Start date: 5th October 2026 Working Pattern: Term Time Only (32.5 hours per week) About Us This is an exciting time to be joining our Multi Academy Trust, which collectively educates over 4300 children, and employs over 450 professionals. Each of our good and outstanding academies operates at the heart of their local communities. The Foundation’s central offices are based at Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College campus set in beautiful grounds. This role is based at The County High School, Leftwich, which is a high performing, fully inclusive, co-educational, 11-16 school with approximately 1050 students, 60 teaching and 60 support staff. The school serves a mixed catchment area with a Published Admission Number of 210, and we are now significantly over-subscribed. About the Role We are looking for an inspiring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our thriving, hardworking SEND team at The County High School Leftwich on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for supporting teaching staff in the development and education of students, assisting in the delivery of learning activities and work programmes and undertake predetermined activities with students so that their intellectual and social development (including self-reliance and self-esteem) are fostered. Your Responsibilities Please refer to the job description attached. What we are looking for GCSE or equivalent in English, Maths or Science Knowledge of the national secondary education system and an understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Purposeful experience of working with young people, preferably in the 11-16 age range Enthusiasm for learning and the ability to generate this in others with a commitment to developing strength and depth in subject knowledge The ability to inspire students to reach their individual potential.
