About the role

Learning Support Assistant Fixed Term until 18 December 2026 Bloxwich Academy Primary - Bloxwich Lane, Walsall, West Midlands, WS2 7JT 21 Hours | Term Time Only | 3 days a week Start Date: ASAP Starting actual salary from: £12,766.51 (FTE £26,151) to £13,403.11 (FTE £27,455) Salary ranges dependent on level of relevant qualification held

The Role:

A fixed term position has arisen for an eager Learning Support Assistant to join Bloxwich Academy Primary until Christmas for 3 days per week. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience working with children in a primary school environment, develop their skills and learn from an experienced and supportive team. As part of this role, you will be working under the instruction of the classroom teacher and leadership to provide appropriate support to pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this role must be passionate and willing to support pupils no matter what they need to ensure there are no barriers to learning.

Key personal qualities and skills will include:

Having excellent inter-personal skills with both children and adults; Knowledge and skills surrounding supporting children’s learning for example Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualifications; An adequate level of literacy and numeracy qualifications; A flexible approach to work and be prepared to undertake routine tasks outside of the classroom.
