Job description

Are you a friendly, reliable individual with excellent customer service skills? Do you enjoy working with people and being part of a supportive team? If so, we would love to hear from you. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Sports Centre Assistant to support the operation of our busy sports centre. This is a casual position, working a minimum of 7.5 hours every other weekend, covering Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons throughout the year. No previous sports centre experience is required, as full induction and training will be provided. We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a positive experience for visitors. About the Role As a Sports Centre Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the facilities. You will be the first point of contact for customers and will help maintain a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for all users. Your responsibilities will include: Providing a friendly and professional service to customers and visitors. Responding to customer enquiries in person and by telephone. Undertaking reception and administrative duties. Carrying out routine health and safety checks on facilities and equipment. Setting up and dismantling sports equipment as required. Supporting the safe and efficient operation of the sports centre. About You We are looking for a team player who: Enjoys working with people and delivering excellent customer service. Has strong communication and interpersonal skills. Is dependable, proactive, and willing to learn. Takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. Shares our commitment to supporting young people and helping them achieve their potential. Can work effectively as part of a team. Previous experience in a customer-facing role or working with young people would be beneficial but is not essential.
