About the role

ILKLEY GRAMMAR SCHOOL Science Technician Scale Pay Point 5 (Range 5 -6 Actual annual salary: £8,978 - £9,283) Pattern of hours Monday and Wednesday 8.00am - 4.00pm including a 30-minute unpaid lunchbreak each day. 15 hours per week Term time only An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced and adaptable Science Technician to join our established team of Science Technicians within a school judged by OFSTED as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas, a school where both student achievement and attitudes to learning are amongst the best in the region. We are a fantastic learning community, set in one of Yorkshire’s most scenic areas, whose facilities have been further enhanced by the completion of a multi-million pound refurbishment and expansion project. We are looking for someone who has the skills to:

prepare apparatus, solutions, material and specimens within Science assist teachers in the setting up and use of equipment in the science laboratories prepare and distribute materials and equipment for students use in practical work and examinations maintain equipment
