About the role

Role Overview Job Title: 1.1 SEND TA Start Date: ASAP Salary: £13.47 (Grade C) Hours Per Week: 22.5 (4 hours 30 minutes hours each day, 8:45am - 1:30pm Monday to Friday with a 15 minute unpaid tea break) Status: Fixed Term (until approx. 31/08/2027) Closing Date: 12 Noon on Wednesday 21st October 2026 Interview Date: Week commencing Monday 2nd November 2026 The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to provide 1:1 support for a child with SEND, helping them to overcome barriers to learning, access the curriculum and develop their confidence and independence. The role will involve providing tailored support to meet the identified SEND needs of the children, supporting their learning, emotional regulation, self-esteem, social inclusion and overall wellbeing. A key part of the role will be building a positive and supportive relationship with the child, while encouraging them to develop increasing independence and participate fully in learning and wider school life. Appropriate in-service training and ongoing support will be provided to enable the successful candidate to understand and respond effectively to the child’s individual needs. This is a temporary position and is subject to the child’s continued attendance at the school and/or the outcome of any review of their special educational needs. Why Join Us?
