In this role, you will work closely with teachers to support high-quality teaching and learning, providing both general and targeted assistance to pupils and staff. You will operate under the direction, guidance, and supervision of the classroom teacher to help create a positive and effective learning environment. Key responsibilities: Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities Implement planned learning activities/teacher programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils’ responses as appropriate Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs Assist with the implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programs under the supervision and guidance of teaching staff Pay range: SCP 8 - 12: £24,370.72 - £25,982.89 (FTE: £27,709.00- £29,542.00) 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year Permanent Qualifications and Skills: GCSE Maths and English minimum grade 4 or equivalent TA2 qualification or equivalent or relevant experience Relevant educational experience supporting a child/children in a school setting and the relevant age range Ability to work with an individual child or with a group What are we about?
