Job description

We are seeking a well-organised and proactive Administration Assistant to join our Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ academy in Smith’s Wood, Birmingham. This is a key role within our office team, providing high-quality administrative support to staff, pupils, parents and visitors. You will support the smooth day-to-day running of the school office, including ordering resources, maintaining records, supporting compliance processes, and assisting with finance, first aid administration, and school systems. You will also provide professional reception support and contribute positively to the school’s ethos. We are looking for someone who is organised, flexible, confident with IT (particularly Microsoft Word and Excel), and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience in a school office is desirable, and a strong commitment to safeguarding is essential. Training will be provided where required, including First Aid. An enhanced DBS check is required.
