Stop re-keying vacancies you already publish
If your vacancies already exist in another system, they do not need typing again. Two inbound routes exist today: your systems post to our jobs API with an organisation-scoped key, or we read a vacancy feed you publish. The API key is created in your workspace; a feed is checked with our team before anything is fetched.
Neither route is a finished self-serve product yet, and we would rather set one up with you than leave you guessing. Vacancies arriving by either route still go through the same review before publication.

- No charge to advertise a vacancy today
- Every advert checked by our team
- Built on official UK school records
- Named employer on every listing
The two inbound routes
Status is read from our integration authority, so it cannot describe more than exists.
Automated vacancy posting (API)
Set up with our teamYour own systems can post and close vacancies with an organisation-scoped API key, so you do not re-key adverts. Every vacancy still goes through review.

What each route actually does
Written from the shipped implementation, including its limits.
SchoolJobs.uk Jobs API
Available nowYour systems post vacancies to SchoolJobs.uk with an organisation-scoped API key. Your organisation is always the recruiting employer, and every vacancy still goes through our normal moderation.
Vacancy feed import (URL)
Request — we check it with you firstYou give us a vacancy feed URL and we read it on a schedule. A request is recorded as a draft; nothing is fetched until our team has checked the feed contract with you.
Limit: Feed fetching is not enabled automatically, because a feed has to be confirmed as a complete snapshot before absence from it can ever be treated as a closed vacancy.
Rules that protect your listings
Automation must not create adverts you did not intend, or close ones you still need.
Your organisation is always the employer
A key is scoped to your organisation. It cannot create or edit a vacancy for anyone else.
A resend is not a duplicate
Vacancies are matched on your own reference, so the same role sent twice updates one listing instead of creating two.
Absence only closes a vacancy on a confirmed full feed
A vacancy is never withdrawn because it is missing from a partial file. That is why a feed is checked with you before it is enabled.
Adverts you created here stay yours
Turning a feed off does not delete your existing live vacancies, and a feed cannot overwrite an advert written in your workspace.
To discuss either route, contact our team, or see what is and is not connected.
