Questions
What are the main routes into teaching?
Fee-paying courses (you pay a tuition fee and may get a bursary or scholarship), salaried courses (a school employs and pays you while you train) and postgraduate teaching apprenticeships (paid, with no fee). All lead to qualified teacher status (QTS).
Do I need a degree?
Postgraduate courses need an undergraduate degree. If you don't have one yet, undergraduate courses with QTS and teacher degree apprenticeships are available — check each course's entry requirements on GOV.UK.
Where do I apply?
Every course here links to its page on the Department for Education's Find teacher training courses service, where you apply through GOV.UK.
How current is this list?
We import the Department for Education's published course data every day. Courses that are withdrawn are removed at the next import.
