Employer terms
Last updated: 26 July 2026
These terms apply to schools, academy trusts and recruitment agencies that post vacancies, claim profiles or use the applicant-tracking tools on SchoolJobs.uk. They sit alongside our general terms of use.
Free posting for schools & trusts
State-funded schools, academy trusts and multi-academy trusts may post an unlimited number of genuine vacancies at no cost.
Agencies
Recruitment agencies may list vacancies subject to a separate commercial agreement. Agency listings must clearly identify the agency as the employer of record and comply with the Conduct of Employment Agencies Regulations 2003.
Vacancy content standards
- The role must be a real, currently-open vacancy.
- Salary must be shown, or a clear pay range provided in line with STPCD/SNCT where applicable.
- The advert must include a safeguarding statement (see our safeguarding policy).
- No discriminatory language under the Equality Act 2010.
- No misleading job titles, location or contract information.
Claiming a profile
To edit a school, trust or agency profile you must verify control of the organisation's official email domain or another accepted evidence route. Misrepresentation may result in permanent removal.
Candidate data
You must handle applicant data as a data controller under UK GDPR: keep it secure, retain it only as long as necessary, and honour candidates' rights. See our privacy policy.
Suspension & removal
We may remove vacancies or suspend accounts that breach these terms, our safeguarding policy, or applicable law. We'll explain the reason in writing.
Liability
You indemnify SchoolJobs.uk against third-party claims arising from your content or your handling of applicant data.
