Agency supply is often not paid in holidays and may not include Teachers' Pension. A school employing you directly should pay to scale.

Daily rate vs pay scale
Comparing a daily rate with a salary only works on the same basis. We multiply your daily rate by the days you work and set it beside the annual pay for each point — but supply work is rarely 195 days and may not include pension or paid holidays.
Frequently asked questions
How is supply teacher pay worked out?
Schools employing supply teachers directly pay them on the pay scale, at 1/195 of the annual salary per day. Agencies set their own daily rates.
Do agency supply teachers get holiday pay?
Agency workers are entitled to holiday pay, often rolled into the daily rate or accrued. After 12 weeks in the same role, the Agency Workers Regulations give equal pay rights.
Why 195 days?
Teachers work 195 days a year (190 teaching days plus 5 INSET days), so 1/195 of the annual salary is a day's pay.
