Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• Give accurate information and keep your profile up to date.
• You're responsible for keeping your password secure.

Your CV & profile

You choose whether your CV is private, visible only to schools you apply to, or — for the future — discoverable by verified employers. Employer candidate search is not in operation today, so no employer can find you this way; the setting simply records your choice. You can change it at any time from your candidate profile, and you can delete your CV or account whenever you want.

Applying for jobs

Eligible vacancies are applied for on SchoolJobs.uk. Where the employer named on the listing has verified its account, we deliver your application to it and their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy notice. Where it has not yet verified, we receive and hold your application securely until delivery is possible. Either way your application is complete once you submit it. We are not the employer and do not control hiring decisions.

If that employer hasn't yet claimed and verified its account with us, your application is securely held instead of being sent out. We notify the employer using an official contact address for the organisation, without including your details, and release the application only once the right people at that organisation are verified. You can withdraw a held application at any time, and if it's never claimed we delete it in line with our privacy policy.

A small number of listings can only be applied for on the employer's own website. Where that's the case we say so clearly on the listing before you leave the site.

Honest use

• Don't submit false qualifications, references or right-to-work information.
• Don't impersonate someone else.
• Don't use SchoolJobs.uk to spam employers.

Alerts & communications

Job alerts and saved-search emails are opt-in. You can pause or unsubscribe from any email — the unsubscribe link works instantly.

Suspension & deletion

We may suspend accounts that breach these terms. You can delete your account at any time from your profile; this removes your CV, saved jobs, alerts and application history in line with our privacy policy.
