Job description

Required - As soon as possible Data, Assessment & Cover Manager Hampton College is seeking an exceptional Data, Assessment & Cover Manager to lead and develop our data, assessment and reporting systems while overseeing the daily management of staff cover arrangements. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced data professional who thrives on using information to drive improvement. Working closely with senior leaders, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across data management, assessment tracking, reporting, admissions information and management information systems. You will also line manage the Cover Supervisor team and ensure the effective co-ordination of staff cover across the school. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting teaching, learning and school improvement through the provision of high-quality, accurate and timely data. Using data to drive improvement, support student success and help shape the future of Hampton College. What You’ll Be Doing As our Data, Assessment & Cover Manager, you will: Lead the school's data, assessment and reporting functions. Manage and develop Bromcom, ClassCharts and other school data systems. Analyse and present student performance data to support teaching and learning. Produce accurate reports and statutory returns. Ensure data accuracy, security and GDPR compliance. Support admissions, timetabling and student information processes. Co-ordinate daily cover arrangements and manage the Cover Supervisor team. Lead and develop the Data & Assessment team. What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who: Has at least three years' experience working in a data-focused or systems management role. Possesses advanced Excel skills and experience analysing complex datasets. Has experience managing information systems and producing detailed reports. Demonstrates excellent ICT, organisational and communication skills. Understands the importance of confidentiality, GDPR and data security. Can effectively manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines. Has experience leading, supporting or coordinating the work of others. Is educated to A-Level standard or equivalent and can demonstrate relevant professional development. Working Hours The postholder will be required to work five days per week, Monday to Friday. The exact number of working hours is flexible up to 37 hours per week. Due to the operational requirements of arranging daily staff cover and sourcing supply staff where required, the successful candidate will be expected to start work at 6:30am, Monday to Friday,during term time. While the start time is fixed, we recognise the importance of work-life balance and are able to offer some flexibility around finishing times and working patterns, subject to the needs of the role. These arrangements can be discussed with applicants during the interview stage. About Hampton College Hampton College is an established all-through school (ages 4-19) located in Hampton Vale, Peterborough. It sits within Hampton Academies Trust (HAT) and works closely with neighbouring schools such as Hampton Gardens and Hampton Lakes.
