Job description

Mount St Joseph is currently seeking a Cover Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust. As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain engaged in their learning by delivering pre-prepared lesson materials. You will help maintain a calm, positive learning environment and support students in achieving their best. Key Responsibilities Supervise whole classes during the absence of teaching staff. Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain focused on their learning. Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy. Provide support and guidance to students during lessons where appropriate. Record attendance and report any issues or concerns to relevant staff. Promote high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and student wellbeing. Assist with other school duties as required.
