Job description

The Oaks Academy are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to supervise whole classes of students and ensure that set work is completed in the absence of the teacher. Cover is provided for the short-term absence of teaching staff so that an effective and tailored school policy to cover is delivered. The role will include: Supervision of whole classes in the absence of a teacher Deliver lessons across a range of subjects following the plans left by the class teacher Keeping the children on task for the work they have been set and ensure it is completed Maintaining a purposeful learning environment in the classroom Provision of in class support and assisting if students have any questions Working with small groups of students or individually on a one-to-one basis. To support students in and outside of the classroom The successful candidate will be a team player. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and be organised. Hours: 32.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 8:15 until 15:15 Weeks: 39 weeks Contract: Temporary until 31.12.26, with the view to make permanent.
