Scale E7-11 (£26,403 - £28,142 pro rata) Actual salary £18,332 - £19,539 pa Permanent contract “Being the best version of Sprowston Community Academy that we can be” We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to support pupils in and out of the classroom, including supervision of whole classes during short term absence of teachers. The role will involve working under the day to day guidance of teaching staff and the Cover Manager, and individuals will be expected to be adaptable and well organised in their approach. This role is an ideal opportunity for ECTs seeking a permanent position. Whilst ideally having prior classroom experience, this opportunity may equally appeal to recent graduates looking for experience before pursuing a career in Teaching. Ideally the appointed candidate will: Possess former classroom experience Have experience of working with young people Have excellent communication skills to motivate students and gain their respect Have a strong understanding of behaviour management and restorative practice Be able to work independently and as part of a team Support external cover staff Have a real passion to foster the culture of our ‘Sprowston Virtues’ Sprowston Community Academy is a growing 11-18 school serving the North-east of Norwich.
