As an Exams Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth, efficient and compliant administration of all internal and external examinations. Working closely with senior leaders, curriculum teams, awarding bodies and support staff, you will help ensure that every aspect of the examination process is delivered to the highest standard, enabling pupils to demonstrate their achievements in a fair and well-organised environment. You will be a highly organised and detail-oriented professional, capable of managing multiple priorities and working effectively under pressure. Through meticulous planning, excellent communication and a strong understanding of regulations and procedures, you will ensure the academy remains compliant with awarding body requirements while providing outstanding support to pupils and staff throughout the examination cycle. This role is ideal for a committed and resilient Exams Officer who upholds the highest professional standards, models Astrea values and is driven to deliver high quality operational support and life-changing opportunities for young people. Key Responsibilities: Lead the administration of internal and external examinations Plan, organise and coordinate all examination entries, timetables and arrangements, ensuring exams are delivered efficiently and in line with awarding body regulations. Ensure compliance with examination regulations Maintain an up-to-date understanding of JCQ and awarding body requirements, ensuring all examination processes meet statutory and regulatory expectations. Manage examination data and records accurately Maintain accurate student entries, results records and examination documentation, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity at all times. Coordinate invigilators and examination logistics Recruit, train and deploy invigilators, organise examination venues and resources, and ensure examinations run smoothly and professionally. Provide effective support to students, staff and parents Act as the key point of contact for examination queries, providing clear guidance and communication throughout the examination and results process. Manage results, post-results services and reporting Coordinate the distribution of examination results and administer reviews, appeals and other post-results services in line with awarding body deadlines.
