Facilities Manager 35 hours per week /52 Weeks per year Start Date: 1st October 2026 Scale: PO2 Pt 31-33 depending upon experience Actual Salary - £45,726.19 to £47,793.75 We are a comprehensive inner London secondary school with a diverse intake of students from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures. We were graded as Good in all aspects during our last Ofsted Inspection (April 2023). We are seeking a proactive and experienced Facilities Manager to lead our premises team and ensure our school provides a safe, secure and compliant environment for pupils, staff and visitors. You will manage day-to-day site operations, maintenance contracts and overall site development. Key responsibilities Facilities and Estates: Manage site maintenance, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), repairs, and contractor relationships. Health & Safety : Act as the lead competent person for statutory compliance, fire safety and risk assessments. Team Leadership: Supervise and train the onsite premises staff. Security & Access : Oversee site security, emergency response procedures and school letting/event set up. What we are looking for: Proven experience in facilities, estates, or site management, ideally within an educational setting Strong working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and statutory compliance Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills. Relevant certifications (e.g IOSH, NEBOSH) are highly desirable.
