Job description

Are you an experienced finance professional looking for an opportunity to make a real impact in education? We are seeking a talented and motivated Finance Manager to join our team and help shape the financial future of our successful and ambitious school. Working closely with the School Business Manager and Senior Leadership Team, you will lead on financial planning, budgeting and reporting, ensuring the school's long-term financial sustainability. This senior role includes developing multi-year budgets, undertaking scenario planning, providing financial advice to leaders and governors, and supporting compliance with financial regulations. You will also oversee day-to-day financial operations, support income-generating activities, manage finance staff and deputise for the Business Director on financial matters when required. About You We are looking for someone who has: A Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in finance, or substantial relevant experience. Experience of budget setting, financial management and reporting. Advanced Excel and financial systems skills. Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills. The ability to influence and build positive working relationships. A commitment to the values and ethos of a Church of England school. School finance experience would be advantageous, but we also welcome applications from candidates looking to bring their finance expertise into the education sector.
